Nissan Kicks: World premiere in Brazil

And the day finally arrived. Nissan conducted the world premiere of the new Kicks in Brazil, which also will be produced and its conventional marketing will begin on 5th August.

Created as a global vehicle destined for 80 countries, the new crossover uses a new generation of V platform and stands for modern design of its body with five doors combined with 17 inch alloy wheels and possesses 4,295 millimeters in length and 2610 mm wheelbase.

The official car of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016 also has a cabin with simple style that promises good space. It also highlights the 7″ touch screen and the trunk, with 432 liters of capacity.

Another point to underline is the equipment of the “full” SL version which includes assistant outstanding start, four – camera system with 360 degree detection of obstacles and front and rear seats with Zero Gravity technology (whose base development comes from NASA). But it is not the only interesting thing that it has, since it looks with the traction controls and stability and with front and side airbags and curtain (6 in total).

The list is completed with parking sensor, Isofix, electric mirrors, engine ignition switch, automatic lights on, automatic climate control and head restraints on all five seats.




On the mechanical side, the only announced engine is second generation gasoline engine 1.6/16v HR16DE, with variable valve timing (CVTCS), 114 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and a torque of 15.5 kgm at 4,000 rpm.

The accompanying box is the automatic Xtronic CVT with continuously variable system and sport management function, while traction is on the front wheels. The brand announces a fuel consumption of 11.4 km/l in city and 13.7 km/l on the route.
