Audi SQ5, the sporty of the new Q5 range

The model that will arrive this year in Europe the most beastly version of the family. It includes a V6 turbo engine with 354 horsepower that allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

The Audi Q5 second generation is one of the novelties of the brand with the four rings this year. Now, the new range welcomed in Europe to the spicier version, the SQ5, not yet announced for the local market.

As always, although for the moment without the diesel option of the previous generation, the model is highlights by combining high performance with the SUV versatility, in addition to be clearly differentiated from the rest of the versions.

One of the keys is the sporty image, achieved thanks to the presence of unique grille, bumper with aggressive styling, rear spoiler, bulkier side sockets, four tailpipes and 20 inch alloy wheels combined with tires in measure 255/45.

Customization extends to the interior, where it owns the 12.3 inch digital board (Audi virtual cockpit), and a touchscreen of 8.3″ for the multimedia system, metal floorboard and sports seats.

If we refer to the mechanics, uses the 3.0 TFSI, V6 gasoline engine made of aluminum which features direct fuel injection and supercharging by turbocharger systems with which achieves an output of 354 hp and a torque of 500 Nm when operating between 1,370 and 4,500 rpm.

For its part, the single box available is the automatic tiptronic with eight changes and coasting mode. The traction is in charge of the integral quattro system and optionally can add a differential sports.

The set allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5,4 seconds, as well as a maximum speed – limited electronically – of 250 km/h. To this is added an average consumption of 8.3 l/100 km.

Among its “toys” of equipment, the model includes the Audi Drive Select system, which allows to choose different operating modes, adaptive damping, selective torque control, lane maintenance, adaptive cruise control with driving assistant in traffic jams, collision warning, rear transit assistant, collision avoidance assistants, vehicle exit warning, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
