Volvo XC90 T8: Details and figures
Alongside the introduction of its new SUV, the Swedish manufacturer details more features on the version of T8, the most high-end version, a rechargeable hybrid version, which fits over the mechanical offer.
In this T8 variation, with the rechargeable hybrid technology, the Volvo XC90 combines the Drive-E engine 4 cylinder 2.0L developing a power of 318 bhp for 400 Nm and an electric motor located on the rear axle of 82 hp (60kW) and 240Nm of torque with eight-speed automatic gearbox.
And rigged, the XC90 T8 finally claimed 400 hp and 640 Nm for 5.9s in the 0 to 100 km/h and consumption levels that can go almost doubled between Europe (2.5l/100km and 59g/km CO2) and American market (4.8l/100km).
As recalled, Volvo XC90 that “offers 5 different driving modes for a wide range of performance and optimal performance via a knob on the center console or the touchscreen dashboard” namely Hybrid, Pure Power, AWD and Save For Later.
“The Joint braking system of the XC90 T8 partly uses an electronically controlled braking technology to retrieve and transmit energy to the car or to recharge the battery, either for immediate use. The system also has a unique feature of stability that controls the amount of energy that can be regenerated safely”, adds Volvo XC90 T8 for 7 places displayed at floor price of 79,500 euro excluding bonuses.
