Volkswagen E-Up
Upon presentation of the Up! in Frankfurt in September 2011, Volkswagen had confirmed an electric version. The model for the production will be officially unveiled two years later, at the next Frankfurt Motor Show.
The E-Up! was therefore already present in Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011, and announced that the final version will be the first Volkswagen purely electrical marketed. Presented at the annual conference of the group, it will make its public appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Compared to the version shown 18 months ago, this is a 5-door version, always with 4 seats. The 18.7 kWh battery is located under the floor, not reducing the volume of the box. Ability allows a range of 150 km, with an electric motor developing 40 kW/55 hp (for peak 60 kW/82 hp) and a torque of 210 Nm.
In terms of performance, the maximum speed will be 135 km/h and 0 to 100 will be completed in 14 seconds. Side loading, the fast load will allow 80% of load in less than 30 minutes, and we can choose an option for the new standard of CCS catch (Combined Charging System or Combo), Volkswagen and other manufacturers want to impose as standard.
The style of the e-Up differs very little from the thermal version. It is especially recognize its fire day’s parentheses around the insert shield, with a similar theme to the rear, where the Volkswagen logo is adorned with blue. The interior is offered in a clear white and gray atmosphere specific.
