Bridgestone tire rolls printable
Bridgestone has developed a new technology to print on its tires, different coloring process currently proposed.
Until now, white rubber was used for the sides with white stripe or a specific lettering. This process requires large amounts of white rubber and may increase the weight of the tire.
Bridgestone has a new design consisting of a base layer that protects against fading and ink specifically developed for this printing technique. A second layer of protection is added.
Drawings, photographs, everything is printable and deletable without damage to the tire. The first applications will be visible in Geneva while Bridgestone provides a “rapid commercialization”.
