Volkswagen T-ROC Concept
SUV, crossover, Cross Blue, Cross Blue Coupe, Cross Coupe, Taigun … and now T-ROC (not Iroc announcement at the time the Scirocco coupe) response on Volkswagen offers more than ever competitive compact SUV or urban.
If the front of this new concept announces the stylistic identity of the SUV, this new study of its kind, a notch below the Tiguan, also lays the groundwork for future urban SUV but then not available in 4 × 2 version. Volkswagen launches into battle, a fierce battle already.
This concept asserts 1420 kg, 4.18 m long and 1.83 m wide and 1.50 m high, 2.60 m wheelbase and is based on the MQB modular platform. It adopts a 2.0 TDI 184 hp and 380 Nm (Golf GTD), 7-speed DSG, 4Motion all-wheel drive and three driving modes: street, offroad and snow. All for 6.9 s in the 0 to 100 km/h, 210 km/h top speed and 4.9 l/100 km to 129 g/km of CO2.
VW stresses further that concept with amovible rooftop “appeals to fully digital instruments as well as a digital air-conditioning control” and that “the front and rear of the car includes assisted cameras by LED headlights in low light”.
