Rumors of a more powerful version of the Subaru BRZ is a constant since it left, but go even internal sources. This is not wishful thinking, has many signs of being real. For Subaru is nothing new to make the turbocharged boxer engine.
For a start, the JDM Legacy has released the FA turbocharged engine, the same family that uses the BRZ. Paid almost 300 HP and 400 Nm of maximum torque, big words gentlemen. It is expected that the same engine used in the most muscular versions of the Impreza to remove the 2.5 turbocharged boxer.
If you don’t want to wait for a turbocharged BRZ, luckily there are many different options for Subaru BRZ turbo kits. These kits work on the BRZ’s siblings, the Toyota 86 and Scion FR-S too.
Not just about adding a turbo (incidentally, two-way), but replaces the D4-S injection (direct and indirect) by direct injection to dry. You may not hit the market with the same figures, but one or two years old will have to wait. It is early to say whether Toyota will also benefit from this engine, but why not?
